Bronze ITrick or Treat on Specter Street: Ripper's Riddle (Q6)
Hi! I'm a little stuck on Q6 for this lab and would greatly appreciate any form of help :-)
Tried John and hashcat to crack the code. Managed to crack the first 4 clue.
when I use john. im getting 0 password result.
when I use Hashcat. im getting status : exhausted
and also getting this when doing hashcat :
"The wordlist or mask that you are using is too small.
This means that hashcat cannot use the full parallel power of your device(s).
Unless you supply more work, your cracking speed will drop."
tried doing things logically based from the first 4 clues. (or is it not a direction like the first 4?)
what am I missing? need help guys.
I think I know where you are stuck. Just a suggestion, try all possible formats produced by hashcat to unlock the 5th clue, not just the first one

The format for cracking the 5th hash should be the same as for the others.
- Use hashcat to get list of potential hashes
- Use john to crack
Maybe an issue with your lab instance - maybe try re-starting it. If you get same issues you could try posting up the commands you are entering.
