    I think I know where you are stuck. Just a suggestion, try all possible formats produced by hashcat to unlock the 5th clue, not just the first one

The format for cracking the 5th hash should be the same as for the others.

  1. Use hashcat to get list of potential hashes
  2. Use john to crack

Maybe an issue with your lab instance - maybe try re-starting it.  If you get same issues you could try posting up the commands you are entering.
