Introduction to encryption help

I am struggling on questions 6-8 and would really appreciate some hep, I have no idea what to enter into the terminal.

    Hi bigmacwhopper,
    All the information you are needing is in the briefing panel, under the 'In this Lab' section. 
    Open the terminal in the file 'Lab-files' found in the desktop and follow the question along. 
    If you are struggling on the [output file] section of the commands, remember you are wanting to be able to read the out put, so name it with an extension that you can open.
