Throughout December we are unwrapping, fresh content, celebrating this year’s successes, and gifting you with the tools and insight you need to be ready for 2025.
Lab of the Day
Every day we’re revisiting a standout lab from the past year—highlighting its impact and the skills it helped build, whilst also introducing you to the experts who built it.
Today's recommendation comes from OisinB, Senior Cloud Security Engineer here at Immersive Labs. Oisín loves puzzles, the cloud, and any festivities, so it should come as no surprise that his recommendation is Return to Haunted Hollow: Spooky, Scary, Silly Snaps: A fiendish challenge of a lab that will test your enumeration skills in the cloud as you discover how attackers commonly gain access to AWS. You’ll need some out-of-the-box thinking to escalate your privileges and navigate your way through a myriad of AWS services!
Oisín hopes that you enjoy completing it as much as he enjoyed writing it. Be warned though, it won’t be easy!
CyberPro licence holders can find the lab in Exercise > Challenges & Scenarios > Return to Haunted Hollow
Crisis Sim of The Day
Throughout December, JonPaulGabriele, Crisis Sim Lead will be releasing 5 new Crisis Sim Scenarios. Today’s Sim is Christmas Tree-son.
About this Sim, JP said “Christmas Tree-son blends the holiday spirit with a series of unexpected disasters, forcing you to think on your feet and make tough decisions under pressure. It’s got a unique blend of cybersecurity threats, business continuity, and ethical dilemmas as well as reputational challenges. It’s not your average holiday-themed fun though, there’s treachery afoot at the North Pole, let’s see if you can navigate it!”
Crisis Sim licence holders can find the sim in Exercise > Crisis Sim > Scenario Catalogue > Christmas Tree-son.
JP will also be running a virtual crisis sim using this scenario on 13th December.
Throughout December we'll be unwrapping fresh content, celebrating this year's successes, and gifting you with the tools and insight that you need to be ready for 2025.
