Welcome to Day One of the Community Cyber Countdown!
Every day in December, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite content of 2025. To kick us off, StefanApostol, Lead Cyber Security Engineer, and SabrinaKayaci, Application Security Engineer, share their popular Inner Maze lab.
Advanced CTF Challenge: Inner Maze
The Inner Maze lab was part of a wider CTF challenge for Immersive Community earlier in 2025.
The Maze Challenge consists of eight “mazes” of increasing complexity, which are based on real-world cyberattack scenarios. They’re designed to test a variety of offensive skills, such as web, infrastructure, Active Directory, scripting, and binary exploitation.
Why this lab?
This was Immersive’s most successful offensive Community Challenge to date, and brought so many different minds together. It covers a range of highly important skills that any offensive cyber engineer should look to develop if they want to hone their craft.
It’s also a great mix of fun and learning, and earned Stefan the well-deserved title of “evil mastermind”!
Put your skills to the test in the Advanced CTF Challenge: Inner Maze lab, or catch up with our Labs Live: Maze Challenge webinar.
